2022年4月に秋田発の3人組の獅子舞ユニット「獅子の歯ブラシ」を結成しました！ 私達は地域に根付く伝統的な獅子舞とは異なり、一時的に町に滞在し、告知なしで出没し舞い歩きます。カジュアルでフットワークの軽い獅子舞なのです。この獅子舞のことをシシと呼んでいます。空間的な余白や人の寛容性など、獅子舞が生息しうるか？という視点によって土地の暮らしを可視化する取り組みです。
In April 2022, we formed a three-person lion dance unit "Shishi no Toothbrush" from Akita! Unlike traditional lion dances that take root in the region, we temporarily stay in town and appear and dance without notice. It is a casual and light footwork lion dance. This lion dance is called Shishi. Is it possible for shishimai to live in spaces such as blank space and human tolerance? It is an effort to visualize the life of the land from the perspective of.
3人組の獅子舞ユニットは「獅子の歯ブラシ」と名乗っています。獅子にとって最も重要な行為は「噛む(bite)」ことで土地に宿る厄を払うことです。見方を変えれば、噛むための ”歯”と噛むべき ”厄”がなければ、獅子は生息できません。
獅子舞の生息可能性を探る一連の活動は、獅子に欠かすことのできない ”歯”を磨く行為と等しく捉えることができるのではないでしょうか。そう考えた私たちは獅子の歯を磨くように、その厄払い感覚を洗練させていきたいという思いから「獅子の歯ブラシ」と名乗ることにしました。
The three-member lion dance unit calls itself "Shishi no haburashi
". The most important act for a lion is to ward off evil that dwells in the land by “bite”. From a different point of view, lions cannot live without “teeth” to chew on and “bad luck” to chew on. The series of activities to explore the possibility of lion dance habitat can be regarded as the act of brushing teeth, which is indispensable for lions. With that in mind, we decided to call it the "Shishi no haburashi" because we wanted to refine the sense of exorcism, just like brushing the teeth of a lion.

フォトグラファーやライターとして、民俗芸能の取材、研究、作品制作などを実施。日本全国 500 件以上の獅子舞を取材して記事を執筆している。中央大学法学部を卒業後、なぜか獅子舞の鼻の 可愛らしさに魅せられ、石川県加賀市にて獅子舞の調査活動「KAGA SHISHIMAI project」(2019 年~現在)を始めた。その後は身体的に土地を繋ぎ記録する「東京~石川 500km 徒歩」(2017, 19 年)などのプロジェクトも展開。2022 年には秋田県秋田市から「獅子舞生息可能性都市」の活動 を開始した。獅子舞のフィルターを通して都市を見るという視点から、全国各地を舞い歩いている。
As a photographer and writer, he covers, researches, and produces works of folk performing arts. He has written articles on over 500 lion dances from all over Japan. After graduating from the Chuo University Faculty of Law, for some reason I was fascinated by the cuteness of the lion dance's nose, and started the lion dance research activity "KAGA SHISHIMAI project" (2019-present) in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Since then, he has also developed projects such as “Tokyo – Ishikawa 500km Walk” (2017, 2019), in which he physically connects and records the land. In 2022, Akita City, Akita Prefecture, will start activities as a potential lion dance habitat city. From the viewpoint of seeing the city through the filter of lion dance, he dances all over the country.

秋田県出身。秋田公立美術大学ビジュアルアーツ専攻卒業後、一年間同専攻の研究生として活動。 現在は東京藝術大学先端芸術表現科修士課程に在籍中。 幼少から自身の存在が在ることや命の存在に興味と疑問を持っている。自身の肉体や生体反応が 作品の一部として存在し、鑑賞者と干渉するパフォーマンスやインスタレーションを軸に制作活 動を継続中。身体内部へのフィールドワークと身体外部への探求を相互に行う活動を実践してい る。昨年は体温をテーマに個展「余熱 - ほとぼり -」を開催した。
Born in Akita Prefecture. After graduating from Akita University of Art with a major in visual arts, worked as a research student in the same major for a year. Currently enrolled in a master's course at Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Intermedia Art. Since childhood, he has been interested in and questioned the existence of his own existence and the existence of life. He continues his creative activities centering on performances and installations in which his own body and biological reactions exist as part of the work and interfere with the viewer. He practices activities in which fieldwork on the inside of the body and exploration on the outside of the body are mutually conducted. Last year, he held a solo exhibition entitled "After-heat - Hotobori-" on the theme of body temperature.

建築の設計やリサーチ手法をベースとしたインスタレーション作品の制作や、空間デザイン、 地域活性化事業への参加、学術論文の執筆など、活動は多岐に及ぶ。近年では、「新しい茶の湯 のためのスタディ」(2020 年〜現在 ) と題して、伝統的な形式にとらわれない茶室や茶会のあり 方を模索するための実験的な活動を継続している。獅子に対する想い:都市は誰のものなのでしょうか。獅子のものでもあると思います。
His wide-ranging activities include the production of installation works based on architectural design and research methods, space design, participation in regional revitalization projects, and writing academic papers. In recent years, under the title of “Study for a New Tea Ceremony” (2020-Present), he has continued experimental activities to explore the ideal state of tea rooms and tea ceremonies that are not bound by traditional forms.Thoughts on Lions: Whose cities do they belong to? I think it's a lion thing too.
